Competitive BBQ teams from around the country such as Lotta Bull BBQ, Wood Chicks BBQ, The Texas Rib Rangers, Great Grills O' Fire, and Rhythm 'n Que will press the level of quality BBQ higher and higher at each and every Shootout.

Head-to-Head BBQ cooking contest sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. Adherence to the guidelines and structures of competition are strictly followed. Official KCBS Judges will objectively and subjectively evaluate each BBQ Shootout submission so that truth, justice, and excellence in barbeque may be strengthened and preserved forever.

On the Wednesday or Thursday before each competition, NASCAR drivers and Pit Masters will appear at the participating local Walmart® store. Pit Masters will be giving cooking demonstrations, handing out BBQ samples, and maybe even dishing out some BBQ secrets. Fans also get the chance to meet Jeff Burton, driver of the No. 31 Prilosec OTC-Walmart Chevy, and have the opportunity to win tickets to that weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ race.Shootout
Saturday, High Noon: The judging for the BBQ Shootout begins. More than a dozen entries will be submitted to the grueling standards of KCBS judges. Only the best will walk away with thousands of dollars and priceless bragging rights.
